FANA Establishes Historic Law of Continuity

On Monday, August 11, 2025, the Federation of Aboriginal Nations of the Americas issued an Official Decree – The Law of Continuity.
What is the Law of Continuity, according to Number Analytics? I quote from its website:
"The 'Law of Continuity" in the context of customary law refers to the principle that established customs and traditions of a community continue to hold legal force, even amidst changes or challenges, according to Number Analytics. It signifies the ongoing nature of these practices as a recognized source of legal rules and obligations within that specific community or society. "
"In essence, the law of continuity ensures that customary law remains a living and evolving system, deeply rooted in the history and practices of a community, while also acknowledging its potential for adaptation and change in response to contemporary realities, according to Number Analytics".
What is the law of Continuity in regards to FANA? Below are quotes from the Decree's Preamble, which serves as an introduction to the 12-page Decree.
"WHEREAS, the Constitution of the Federation of Aboriginal Nations of the Americas affirms that the sovereignty of every FANA Nations is inalienable, inherent, perpetual, and arises from the sacred relationship between every FANA Nation, its ancestral territory, and The Great Spirit, The Almighty God, The Most High, The Creator of All Living Things;.. "
"WHEREAS, Indigenous laws, governance systems, and responsibilities continue uninterrupted from time immemorial and are not dependent upon recognition or validation by external authorities;"
"WHEREAS, the Law of Continuity, as understood in natural law, Indigenous law, and jurisprudence, affirms that what is true in the beginning remains true through transformation, and that sovereignty, law, and identity are not extinguished by disruption but persist through adaptation and reassertion;
"WHEREAS, the recognition of the Law of Continuity is essential to advancing the full restoration and exercise of Indigenous sovereignty in accordance with the principles of self-determination, truth, responsibility, and renewal. "
However, people are most familiar with customary law, which is widely practiced globally.
The law of Continuity has been cited in numerous court cases worldwide, but it has never been formally established.
The Law of Continuity and Customary Law were laws in Ancient Egypt. Today, this law is highly complementary to the other basis of our court system, which is customary law as well.
This law complements the other pillar of comity, creating a never-before-seen set of judicial precepts that blaze the trail of judicial oversight.
