
Federation of Aboriginal Nations of the Americas appoints Consul General to Bangladesh

The Federation of Aboriginal Nations of the Americas (FANA) has appointed Mr. Shariful Islam as its Consul General to Bangladesh.
With a wealth of experience in banking and finance, international trading, and community services, Consul General Islam brings unique skills to FANA.
He also brings his knowledge of establishing a non-profit community service organization called Fight for Bangladesh. With its base in Bangladesh and Toronto, the organization has made a significant impact by organizing events, funding/clothing drives, and cleaning projects to help the Bangladeshi people, inspiring hope and a sense of community.
Fight for Bangladesh also "organized and established 4 major country events runs annually (cleaning, painting, cemeteries/statues, International Mother’s Language cleaning monument.”
His previous initiatives, such as founding The Danforth Community Centre in Toronto, Canada, have had a significant impact, including organizing a food drive that has fed ten thousand people annually for the past four years.
The Danforth Community Center also established a non-profit organization serving people from Bangladesh, Africa, Pakistan, South East India, and the Caribbean in Toronto Canada.
Consul General Islam will be reaching out to the indigenous leadership in Bangladeshi territories. He will introduce the new leadership of the secular government to FANA and our undertakings.
He will also work with FANA's ambassador to India, Ambassador Seevan, to open up dialogue with the indigenous organizations in India as opportunities arise.
